Too Late

One day Lisa had come home from school she fainted right inside the door. Some days before she had been complaining about having a bad headache and Marge had giving her some painkillers, but it didn`t help. The following days she had been worse and the day she fainted she hadn`t be able to see properly. Marge had been trying to wake her up again without any luck and had called the ambulance, then Homer, who was at work, to tell him what had happend. When dr. Hibbert had been checking Lisa both Homer and Marge was in the examinationroom with dr. Hibbert and Lisa. The news was shocking, Lisa had a big tumor on her left hemispheric, a bad one to.  They could operate her but she wouldn`t survive anyway. Homer and Marge just stood there and thought that dr. Hibbert had just been kidding with them but the look on his face was not a joke. Marge got breathing diffeculties and her body was about to hyperventilating. Homer hugged Marge close to his body and comforted her while he stroke his hand down her back. His tears were streaming down his face while he was looking at Lisa through the tears.
Homer: - "How long?"
Dr. Hibbert: - "Some days, maximum a week. I`m so sorry Mr and Mrs Simpson. I have given her some sedative and she will be sleeping for some hours now. Call me if you need anything. And again I`m so sorry."
Homer: - "Thanks" He was still hugging Marge that was crying heavy now. He felt his shirt become wet on his shoulder but he didn`t mind. This was a sad moment for both of them. Life could realy turn upside down in some seconds.  
Three days after Lisa came to the hospital she had been awake for some hours but her health had been worse. Her last wish was to see her saxophone and asked her dad to get it to her.
Homer: -"Of course sweety. I will be right back."
Of couse didn`t Homer mind and drove home to get it. Bart and Maggie was with grandpa and had been earlier that day visiting Lisa. Homer and Marge had been sleeping at the hospital.
When Homer had come back to the hospital and in the room, the first he noticed was his wife laying on Lisas bed crying. She hadn`t been crying when he left and understanded what had happend. When he looked at Lisa he saw that she had passed on. She looked so peaceful and beautiful. The worst thought was that he had been to late. She would never see her beloved saxophone again.
Homer: - "Lisa....."
