Marjorie`s parents Clancy and Jaqueline had invited their good friends and almost nabours, Abraham, Mona and Homer on a dinner one sunny sunday 
Since Homer ever saw Marjorie for the first time as a baby he had always wanted to be with her and love her to the end of time 
She was the right girl for him, no doubt about that!

That's what happen high school prom Homer has no date Artie was her ex boyfriend in show Artie was a student at Springfield High School. He was a member of the school Debate Team (where Homer mooned him for rebuttal), and at the end of the year took Marge to the prom.
